This is the first Answered Prayer Cross I received. It was given to me my a very kindred spirit during a time when we were both learning together what Proverbs 17:17 A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity, REALLY means. We have been blessed to walk through health, husband, son, addiction and broken relationship challenges together over some 20+ years. This cross held special sentiment because it is the perfect shaded of blue and green. My friend loved navy and royal blue and I enjoy lime to olive green. And best of all is the texture, chips and rough edges as they reminded me of all the things the Lord has and was healing and redeeming in our lives. This cross has been a focal point in my garden house where I go to spend time with the Lord since I received it. Tonight as I came to join in the process of making crosses the Lord prompted me to pass this cross on.
And don’t you know He already had someone in mind! I received a New Year’s letter from my cousin’s wife, Heily. In this letter she shared a picture card of her and her best friend Joy of 43 years and asked for prayer for Joy. I was already aware of Joy’s need for prayer as she perseveres through ovarian cancer. The picture made me think of this cross and so as Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:, this is the tme to pass it along. May it bring all the Lord desires it bring as it goes forth on it’s journey from one to another. Amen
